I will use Flow writing to think of three creative salutions to this problem.
1, Biological replacement parts for damaged organ.
Example.
If a person who as they got older, had eye problems. Would be able to go and get the damaged eye or eyes replaced with cloned eyes made from the stemcells of the patient so little or no chance of rejection.
2 Mechanical ogmentation or replacement of damaged part.
These kinds of systems are used rite now but could be made much better.
For example.
For a person with very little usable vision a set of glasses, goggles, visor etc that would make everything clear enough to the point of 2020.
At this time these systems are over $5000 in price and are only usable for reading not for daily living.
Replacements
Any person whose eyes have been damaged, either due to a genetic problem, or an accident mite have mechanical replacements for their eyes.
I am not talking about cameras or anything like that, By that point we should have the technology to create optical replacements that look and act like real eyes.
The advantage could be that as everyone knows the human eyes can not always be as good as advances in technology that any one getting this replacement mite be able to have super vision.
3 the human solution
Lets say that this kind of technology never gets invented, in the kind of world and country we live in disabilities just like race should not be an obstacle in achieving your goals. Any person for what disability should be provided an opportunity to prove themselves whether it is in a job, school, etc. I understand that there are laws in place to stop discrimination but I don’t think there is a single person that has not heard of a case of it even today. What it will take is people actually learning that all of us are human and no matter the race background beliefs or disability that we all hope for the same things in life. Happiness for ourselves, our families, and loved ones.
This in the case of ourselves could be that we are provided equal opportunities to jobs and other opportunities what ever they may be.
In the end there is no simple solution for any of this, so what I think the only thing that we can do is just try our best to do everything we can to fix the smaller problems in our lives first and maybe down the line we mite find out that the larger problems have solved them selves for us.
But I have to give it up to Canada though, in my home country I would not have had an opportunity for school and the other opportunities that it opens up.
I would rather have the chance to apply for a job that I know that I have skills and qualifications for and not get it, rather than never even having a chance to apply for a meaningful job.
